Orthoxylene is a petrochemical product consisting of a mixture of volatile organic substances. The product is a colorless liquid with a characteristic odor and a sweetish aroma. Orthoxylol is obtained by a clear rectification method. Depending on the quality indicators, the following grades of orthoxylene are provided: top grade, first grade, pure and technical. The production of orthoxylene is not regulated by the requirements of GOST, the requirements for the quality of the product are established by the technical specifications of the manufacturer

Application
Orthoxylene is used in the coil coatings industry as a solvent or one of the components of liquid paints, as a high-octane additive to various types of motor fuel, can be used to degrease various types of surfaces or even in the manufacture of medicines.
Storage of orthoxylene should be carried out in a sealed container, at a safe distance from heating devices. Personal protective equipment must be worn when working with this product. Production facilities must be provided with supply and exhaust ventilation, and equipment – with local exhausts.
