Heavy pyrolysis resin is a flammable viscous liquid containing C8 and higher aromatic hydrocarbons and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. It is a by-product obtained at ethylene plants during the pyrolysis of hydrocarbon gases, gasoline, diesel fraction or their mixtures.
